Prayer Chaplain Training Begins
July 23rd-25th and August 7th
 
Prayer Chaplain Training and “being” a Prayer Chaplain is transformational work. No prior experience in praying with others is required to serve.
 
Prayer Chaplain Orientation
You are invited to attend your choice of 2 Prayer Chaplain Orientation meetings. Orientation is open to anyone interested in finding out more about the training, dedication and service provided by Prayer Chaplains. For those who go on to complete the prayer chaplain training this is the first step in the process.
 
If the Prayer Chaplain program resonates with you and you feel like this is an opportunity you would like to explore, please sign up to attend an Orientation. Also, if you are interested in the Prayer Chaplain Ministry and are unable to attend either orientation please contact Patricia Burke at 755-2278 to schedule a meeting with her.
 
 
Prayer Chaplain Training
Training will take place July 23-25 and August 7. Completing Prayer Chaplain Training and “being” a Prayer Chaplain is transformational soul work. No prior experience in praying with others is required!  Prayer Chaplains will be trained to: Hold Spiritual Space, Lovingly Listen, Pray from the Heart and Hold in Confidence what is Shared.
 
Your questions will be answered at the Orientation; however, if you have or questions or concerns that need to be addressed before then please contact Patricia Burke at 755-2278.

About Patricia Burke:    Patricia Burke grew up in Bermuda, England, and Sri Lanka and received her Nursing Education in Montreal, Canada. She worked as a Nurse, Health Care Risk Manager & Safety Director, and managed a Health, Life and Long Term Disability Co. Patricia has been a member of UCCL since the 1980s. She has served on the Board of Trustees, and gives generously of her time and talents to our community.  She felt called to re-establish the Prayer Chaplain Ministry at UCCL. The Board enthusiastically appointed her as our Prayer Chaplain Trainer and Coordinator. She encourages anyone who feels drawn to being of service in this way to follow their heart knowing that the power and presence of God is with us and within us always.
