We are delighted to display the watercolor art
of Mardie Crowe at UCCL
for the months of January and February.
These pieces are also for sale,
the prices are available in the office.
Mardie was born and educated in St. Petersburg, Florida.
She and her husband Jim, founding members of UCCL,
live in the Orange Park area.
They have two grown children living elsewhere.
While living in England, when Jim was in the Air Force,
she took up traditional watercolor seriously and studied with
Tom Armes, English watercolorist. Since then she has
studied art while living in Germany, and through the years
has taken college courses and attended workshops
given by nationally acclaimed artists.
Mardie belongs to the Art Guild of Orange Park and is a
charter member of the Jacksonville Watercolor Society.
She has won awards here, in other states and overseas.
Her style is predominantly realistic, but aims to eventually
be able to paint only the essence of nature and leave
the unfinished statement to the viewer.
Thank you, Mardie, for sharing your gift with us,
and beautifying our sanctuary with your paintings.

Calling all Artist
We as God's children all have all of Her gifts
given with all Her love. It is your divine order
to use those gifts and share them with all your
brothers and sisters. So stop hiding your light
and let’s display your art for others to enjoy and buy.
It’s one way of letting everyone know that they too
have hidden talents that need to be expressed.
Whether you draw, paint, sculpt, whittle, mold,
photograph, cut and paste, pinch together jewels or
something I haven’t thought of,
you ~ are an Artist.
So call me, or send an email, and let me see
your work and how you make it.
Then we will schedule a date
to display the fruits of your God given talents
at UCCL for a month.
